Monica is a Post Doctoral Associate at Politecnico di Milano in the Department of Management, Economics and Industrial Engineering. She gained a bachelor degree in Industrial Engineering and Production Management at Università Politecnica delle Marche. Then, she obtained the Master of Science in Management Engineering at Politecnico di Milano. She got a PhD at Politecnico di Milano in Industrial Engineering in December 2014 with the thesis “From Best Practice to Archetype: drawing the path of Innovation”.  During her PhD, she spent a research period ad Massachusetts Institute of Technology, in the Consortium for Engineering program Excellence (CEPE) within the Sociotechnical Systems Research Center. She has been involved in two European research projects: LeanPPD and LinkedDesign. She is the research director of the LeanPD Italian Community since its birth, in 2010, as well as Research Director of the GeCo Observatory.  She publishes in several national and international journals and she attends various academic conferences around the world.
